Description

Ophthalmology deals with the diagnosis and treatment of disorders and diseases of the eye. This includes the area surrounding the eyes such as bones, muscles, eyelids and tear ducts.

Common conditions treated medically and surgically are:

  • Cataract
  • Glaucoma
  • Squint
  • Diabetic retinopathy problems related to blood pressure
  • Macular degeneration
  • Pterygium
  • Skin lesions in proximity of eye
